This 40-year-old female patient had a history of three pregnancies. At the time of her consultation appointment, she had a considerable amount of excess drooping skin on her abdomen.
She specifically complained that she was unable to lose any weight in her flanks because of the excess skin that she carried. Trouble exercising is common with patients who have loose abdominal skin. She was also unhappy with the amount of stretch marks she had.
We discussed her options for surgery, and ultimately, decided upon an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) along with abdominal muscle plication.
