This female patient, aged 28, was struggling with submental fullness (fullness below the chin and on the neck) that was affecting her confidence. The patient felt that the effect created a “double chin”, which she found to be extremely noticeable in photographs. Her goal was a more contoured jawline and a volume depletion of the excess fat below her chin.
We discussed her options, and ultimately, we chose to perform two procedures to help her achieve her goals. First, the patient underwent chin liposuction to remove the excess fat from beneath her chin. Next, at her three-month postoperative visit after undergoing liposuction, she had Restylane fillers along her chin and jawline.
